Premise

Business built on
strong human values

Since its inception, Corex has been committed to founding its business on strong human values and solid principles. This Code expresses the company's ethical commitments and responsibilities in the context of its activities with customers and within the company's internal activities with regard to its Employees and Collaborators.

In carrying out its activities, Corex acts in compliance with the principles of freedom, dignity of the human person and respect for diversity, repudiating any discrimination based on sex, race, language, personal and social conditions, religious and political beliefs.

Corex intends to build its growth by consolidating a faithful image to values of fairness and loyalty, in every process of daily work — favouring a work environment inspired by respect, fairness and collaboration.

People First

Every person — employee, collaborator or partner — is treated with dignity and respect.

Integrity

Every operation must be legitimate, authorised, coherent, documented and verifiable at any time.

Compliance

Full compliance with laws, regulations and the principles of fairness in every market we operate in.

Confidentiality

Protection of company information and personal data is a duty of every employee and collaborator.

Part I

General Provisions

Art. 1 Scope of Application and Recipients

The principles and provisions of this Code of Ethics are specifications of the general obligations of diligence, correctness and loyalty, which qualify the performance of work and behaviour in the workplace.

The principles and provisions of the Code are binding for Corex administrators, employees and collaborators. The Code will be brought to the attention of third parties who receive assignments from Corex or who have stable or temporary relations with it.

Art. 2 Information and Dissemination

The Company carries out its business with honesty and integrity and in compliance with the ethical and moral principles contained in this Code. Corex shall inform all Recipients of the provisions and application of the Code, recommending their observance — including regular updates as needs arise.

Art. 3 Internal Communication

It is Corex's policy to promote the circulation of information and the creation of interpersonal communication processes. Communications must be understood as flowing "from" management, "to" management, and "between" all functions — with every collaborator sharing responsibility for open communication.

Art. 4 Fairness

Every operation and/or transaction must be legitimate, authorised, coherent, congruous, documented, recorded and verifiable at any time. Employees making purchases on behalf of the Company must act in compliance with the principles of fairness, affordability, quality and lawfulness.

Art. 5 Conflict of Interest

Recipients are required to avoid any situation of personal interest that constitutes or could constitute a conflict with the interests of the Company. In particular, it is prohibited to exploit privileged information held by reason of corporate functions and duties. Company goods and equipment must not be used for personal purposes.

Art. 6 Confidentiality of Company Information

Information represents a strategic component of company assets and must be protected with care proportional to its importance. Every employee is required to:

  • Refrain from disclosing confidential information both during and after the termination of the employment relationship;
  • Take all necessary precautions to prevent the disclosure of confidential information;
  • Treat confidential matters with the utmost discretion, particularly in public or in the presence of unauthorised personnel.

Art. 7 Protection of Personal Data

It is the general policy of Corex to scrupulously respect the rules on privacy. Appropriate security measures are prepared and maintained throughout the company organisation to ensure the most effective protection of personal data processed, including sensitive data relating to racial and ethnic origin, religious and political beliefs, health and sexual preferences.

Part II

Business Relations & Relationships

Art. 8 Business Relations

In carrying out business relations, the Company is inspired by the principles of legality, correctness, transparency and efficiency. Employees and Collaborators must follow correct behaviours in the affairs of the Company and, in particular, in relations with the Public Administration.

Art. 9 Relations with Customers

The Company pursues business success through the offer of quality products and services at competitive conditions and in compliance with the rules for the protection of fair competition. Corex commits itself to:

  • Provide high quality products that meet the reasonable expectations of the customer;
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive information about products and services;
  • Stick to the truth in advertising or other communications.

Art. 10 Relations with Suppliers

The selection of suppliers is based on an objective assessment of the quality and price of goods or services. Corex commits itself to maintaining a frank and open dialogue with suppliers. No one may give or accept gifts or favours which could give rise to doubts about the impartiality of the receiving party or influence its work.

Art. 11 Relations with Institutions

Relationships with public institutions — local, national, Community and international — are kept in compliance with current legislation and on the basis of the principles of correctness and loyalty. Recipients acting on behalf of the Company conform their conduct to criteria of transparency and loyalty.

Part III

Health, Safety & Environment

Art. 12 Environment Protection

Corex is inspired by the principle of environmental protection and pursues the objective of protecting the health and safety of the Recipients. Research and technological innovation are dedicated in particular to the creation of products and processes increasingly compatible with the environment. In the name of greater sustainability, Corex has adopted completely green packaging.

Art. 13 Health and Safety at Work

Corex promotes the culture of health and safety in the workplace, considering personnel and human resources as the most important corporate assets. Corex works to prevent accidents and occupational diseases, adopting safety management systems focused on prevention — and monitors all aspects of work activities to constantly improve safety performance.

Part IV

Internal Policies

Art. 14 Use of IT, Telematic and Social Network Tools

Instruments made available by the Company must be used exclusively for the performance of duties and for purposes permitted by the Company. The use of the Internet and social networks is an opportunity to increase visibility, but requires the highest attention and full compliance with laws and company regulations.

Art. 15 Use of Personal Telephone

The use of personal mobile phones during working hours is not normally permitted, except in emergency cases. The company telephone is a work tool and must be used exclusively for carrying out work activities.

Art. 16 Labour and Equal Opportunities

The Company offers all workers the same job opportunities with fair treatment based on merit criteria. The Company provides ethical training for all company personnel to spread the principles and rules of conduct contained in this Code.

Art. 17 Misbehaviour at the Workplace

Corex requires that no harassment be given in internal and external work relationships, including: creating an intimidating or hostile work environment; unjustified interference with other people's work; or obstructing other people's job prospects for personal competitive reasons.

Art. 18–19 Substance Abuse & Smoking

Corex requires its Recipients to help maintain a respectful work environment. Providing service under the effects of alcohol, drugs or similar substances is strictly prohibited. Smoking is prohibited in all workplaces in compliance with the Company's specific policy, with particular attention to the condition of those who feel physical discomfort in the presence of smoke.

Art. 20 Accounting Control and Transparency

The Company condemns any conduct aimed at altering the clarity, correctness and veracity of data and information contained in financial statements, reports or other corporate communications. All subjects involved in financial reporting are obliged to verify the correctness of data with due diligence.

Part V

Sanctions, Reporting & Enforcement

Art. 21 Implementing Provisions

This Code must be brought to the attention of the Company's Employees, Consultants and Collaborators and all those who act on behalf of the Company. All aforementioned subjects are required to learn its contents and to respect its rules.

Art. 22 Reporting Code Violations

Any violations of laws, Codes of Ethics and Conduct, policies and corporate procedures may be reported to the Head of Hierarchy, to the Legal Department, or by email to: info@corexitaly.com

The Company does not accept any attempts to prevent employees from reporting violations and will not use any form of discrimination against employees who do so in good faith.

Art. 23 Sanctions Provisions

Compliance with the Code must be considered an essential part of the contractual obligations assumed by Collaborators and/or subjects having business relations with the company. Violation of the rules of the Code may be considered a breach of contractual obligations and may result in termination of the contract and/or compensation for damages.

This Code has been in force since 20th September 2018, approved by the Board of Directors. It is subject to periodic revisions in accordance with national laws in force.
